The Weekend Warrior: Autumn
Posted on March 14, 2008 @ 3:59 PM
Autumn arrived with a bang last weekend in the south west of WA. A solid groundswell infiltrated the Margs coast for the duration of the long weekend. Couple that up with fresh offshore winds and you’re guaranteed to score some good waves! Some of the waves in these parts are a out of the way and require a bit of a walk in providing a good opportunity to snap off some shots.
One little stretch of reef, a fraction south of no-where in particular, turned on some pretty nice tubes. There were some good surfers and boogers in the water competing for the best ones, frothing on getting pitted. How’s this tube?!
There were some nice bowly shoulders to slice too.
Some more swell is due this weekend - the swell will build over the day on Saturday to around 2m locally (off Rotto) and 2.5m down at Margs. The winds aren’t looking too flash for Saturday with W’lies forecast but Sunday is shaping up ok with light SSE winds. Dust off your guns crew, Autumn is here!
